Here are the top five reasons why YOU should kick off King of the Hammers week by attending our 4th Annual Desert Ranch Round-Up:

1.  King of the Hammers (KOH):

As you know, Johnson Valley is the birthplace of the King of the Hammers, one of the toughest off-road races in the world. KOH is known for its demanding rock crawling sections, high-speed desert runs, and the ultimate test of a vehicle's durability.

In addition to its economic impact, the event attracts top off-road racers and enthusiasts from around the globe, making Johnson Valley a gathering point for off-roaders everywhere, so it’s important to preserve it to remain the ideal venue for generations to come.

Automotive enthusiasts flock here year-round to explore its diverse trails, dunes, and rocky canyons. It's a place where you can challenge yourself and your vehicles in a wide range of terrains.

Johnson Valley is home to iconic off-road trails and landmarks such as the Hammers, Claw Hammer, Chocolate Thunder, and Sledgehammer. These trails are known for their extreme difficulty and are often used for rock crawling and off-road competitions.

And what better way to experience them than with your own personal guides leading the way?? We’re stoked to spend hours showing you some of our favorite trail runs.

4.  Community and Culture:

The Johnson Valley off-roading community is strong and tightly knit. Racers, adventurers and automotive experimenters come together to share their passion for everything off-roading, fostering a unique culture that celebrates skill, innovation, and camaraderie.

The challenging terrain and extreme conditions of Johnson Valley make it an ideal testing ground for off-road vehicle manufacturers. Companies use the area to test and develop their vehicles, ensuring they can withstand the rigors of off-roading.

Bringing people together is one of our favorite parts of the event. Just like we do with Real Deal Revolution, interested newcomers spend time immersed with knowledgeable pros and develop hands-on skills and learning.

Don’t be surprised if you meet your new partner-in-crime or get some life-long questions answered by our friendly group of experienced badasses!

5.  Conservation Efforts:

Johnson Valley's popularity for off-roading has also brought attention to the need for responsible land use and conservation. Efforts have been made to balance off-roading activities with preserving the delicate desert ecosystem.

Its significance extends to the ongoing efforts to secure access to public lands for off-roading and to protect the area from land closures. Various organizations and advocacy groups work tirelessly to ensure that the land remains accessible to off-road enthusiasts.

That’s why we’ve partnered with Tread Lightly, the Bureau of Land Management and other conservation and advocacy organizations to help preserve our trails, and why we encourage you to do the same!

Johnson Valley, California, is a revered and iconic destination in the off-roading world. It's synonymous with the extreme challenges of the King of the Hammers race and offers off-road enthusiasts a diverse and challenging landscape to explore. Its significance extends beyond racing to the off-road culture, vehicle testing, and conservation efforts, making it a cherished and essential location in the off-roading community.
